REMEDY FOR A SORE THROAT by Rick McNeil

Everyone gets an ocassional sore throat. If you have allergies or sinunitis, it can be more frequent. Sinus pressure causes mucus to drain down the back of the throat (Post-nasal drip). This can affect your voice because the vocal cords are coated with mucus and hinders the normal vibrations of the vocal cords. If you use your voice a lot or perhaps you are required to speak a lot for your particular job, you need to have your voice functioning properly. This remedy will help.

I have created a home remedy that's easy to prepare and drink. I boil a cup of water, add one green tea bag and put 2 thin slices (approx. 1 inch long) of fresh ginger, squeeze a few drops of fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of honey. If your sinuses are clogged, it helps to breath in the steam from the cup immediately after making it.
