Nehemiah's Personal Diet Plan
Creating a healthy diet plan is, with minor qualification, limited only by your own motivation,
due to the wide variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains on earth.
Fad diets, at very best only work temporarily. at worst they can be unhealthy. Compare the

Keep in mind, my diet is based upon my personal preference of nutrition and flavor. Juicing allows me to consume food in its most digestible form. You will have to explore your own taste and preferences then decide if juicing is for you. Don't dispair if you discover that it doesn't suit your taste. Just continue to seek out nutritious food in a form you can enjoy. Try something as simple as reducing or eliminating beverages that contain added sugar. Just giving up one 12oz can of soda per day, will eliminate 150 calories and 41 grams of carbohydrates.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
In 2004 I decided to take my healthy diet to another level. Every week from Monday to Wednesday , I would only eat fresh fruit and drink vegetable juice. For more information on juicing please read my article
Juicing Recipes .
Adapting to my new healthy eating plan was not easy, especially the first week. There where times I felt very weak. To be honest with you I seriously thought about quitting. I felt like I was robbing myself of so many delicious foods. Nevertheless I persevered. Trimming Down After several of these four-day periods of eating only fruits and drinking freshly made vegetable juice, my diet plan started paying off. It helped me trim down and lose 20 pounds. Less Sleep My healthy diet plan also changed my sleep requirements. I used to need a minimum of six and a half to seven hours of sleep every night to function properly the next day. Now I can get by with five hours and sometimes even four with no problem. The Urge to Eat Other Foods Once in a while if I get an urge to eat something besides fruit, I will eat some Cashews or pistachios nuts. However they are very high in fat and most of them sold at the supermarket, are dry roasted so I consider them to be cooked food. I therefore do not eat them often. Vacation Vacation, to me is no reason to put a healthy diet plan, on hold. However sometimes it is not convenient or possible to take my juicer with me on vacation. I am therefore forced to make some modifications to my diet, so from Monday to Thursday 7A.M my diet, will consist of salads, cooked or steam vegetables, fruits, and nuts. When I return home it is back to business as usual, consuming only fruit and vegetable juice on those days. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Thursday morning to Sunday afternoon is what I call ”my days off”. This is when my raw food diet ends for the week. I will still drink vegetable juice on these days but I allow myself to eat other things besides fruit. I eat whatever I want then start my raw food diet plan all over again on Monday. On My Days Off On “my days off” I eat a lot of whole-wheat cereal with raisins and organic soy milk. That is my favorite. I make sure that the cereal has no artificial colors or flavors and is low in sugar. Here are some of the nutritional benefits of the whole-wheat cereal I eat: 1.Zero saturated fat. 2.Cholesterol free. 3.An excellent source of carbohydrates. 4. A great source of fiber. 5. A good source of B-complex vitamins. 6. A good source of many minerals - such as iron, magnesium, copper, phosphorus and zinc. 7. Zero Trans fat. Here is a list of other foods/meals I sometimes eat on “my days off”: 1. Vegetable or chicken pizza. 2. Chicken grinder. 3. Fish with rice and beans. 4. Grilled turkey or chicken sandwich. I stay away from eating red meat. However if I were invited to someone's home for a meal and the only meat being served was beef I would go ahead and eat some. Keep in mind though; I have yet to have this happen to me. Here are some foods/food items I never eat, even on” my days off”: 1. Sweets; including candy, doughnuts, pies, cake, ice cream. 2. Soda pops. 3. Potato Chips and anything else that falls into its category. 4. Most fried foods. 5. Shrimp, clams, lobsters. These creatures, considered scavenger animals, eat foods that may be harmful for you. 6. Artificial sweeteners like aspartame. What about Christmas or New Years Day? If Christmas or New Years Day falls on one of my raw food eating days (Monday to Thursday 7a.m.) then I will treat it as a day off and eat whatever my heart desires… within reason of course. Those are, the only two holidays that I make an exception. My Diet Plan and You Let me end this segment by expressing that my diet plan is what works for me. You do not have to follow my healthy eating plan to be healthy. Just make sure that as you create your diet plan, you follow the rules of health and nutrition and you will be fine.
